3 men arrested for vandalizing Toyota vehicles at Chicago Auto Show

According to a report by the Chicago Sun-Times, three men have been arrested for causing $30,000 worth of damage to seven Toyota vehicles at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show. When questioned, the men told police that they were angry about American Toyota jobs being sent overseas.

Each of the three men were charged with one felony count of criminal damage to property. The men slashed seats and tore up the interior of a RAV4, a Prius, a Land Cruiser, two Tundra pickups and a Lexus ES 350,

The Police caught the three men Wednesday night as they used razor knives and screwdrivers to damage the dash and speaker panels of a Toyota Camry.

Not all the vehicles vandalized were built overseas to which a Toyota spokesman replied “These gentlemen apparently didn’t do their research before they decided to destroy American-made vehicles.
