One week out of its Super Bowl ad featuring the new ‘Imported from Detroit’ slogan, Chrysler is still enjoying increased interest from consumers, according to Edmunds. Consideration for the brand has climbed 87%, says the website. The Chrysler 200; the object of the ad, has seen increased interest of 463%, after seeing practically none. The 200 is the replacement for the Chrysler Sebring.

Its generally not noteworthy when an ad generates buzz for a day or two, but for ads that are a week old, that is quite a feat, as it signals long term resonation of the ad message.

The Chrysler 300, which had no mention during the Super Bowl, is also enjoying increased consideration.

Refresher: Power for the 2011 Chrysler 200 comes from a 2.4L in-line 4-cylinder World Gas Engine making 173-hp and 166 lb-ft of torque mated to a 4 or 6-speed automatic transmission.
