Being connected to your friends and family while in your vehicle is becoming a huge wave in the auto industry. Whether or not U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood likes it, automakers seem to be unveiling brand new ways to remain connected while a driver is on the road.
BMW has released a teaser video of a new concept that will debut sometime in 2011 (we’re guessing the 2011 New York Auto Show) that it says “will once again revolutionize driving in terms of comfort, infotainment and safety.”
“In 2011, the automobile industry is celebrating the anniversary ‘125 years of the automobile’ – reason enough to not only look back, but also look forward,” BMW said in a statement. “Connectivity is one of the key fields of tomorrow’s world.”
BMW is calling the new ConnectedDrive Concept an ‘extraordinary vehicle concept’ that will build on its previous ConnectedDrive system.
