Video: A preview of how the Porsche 918 RSR came about
According to Michael Mauer, Porsche AG Design Chief, from the beginning the 918 wasn’t conceived as a spyder or road car – it was always thought to be a race car. At the 2011 Detroit Auto Show yesterday, Porsche unveiled the 918 RSR to much excitement as the automaker made its return to the North American International Auto Show after many years.
