2011 Detroit: 2012 Ford C-MAX shows you how to haul your family

2011 Detroit: 2012 Ford C-MAX

Ford has had major success out in Europe to reflect on that, they revealed the C-Max minivan for the North American market. Originally designed and manufactured by Ford of UK, the 7-passenger people carrier arrives in the US to compete with the likes of the Mazda5.

Engines will start off with a 2.5L DOHC iVCT four-banger for the base C-Max, allowing for 168hp and 167 lb-ft of torque whereas the top-of-the-line engine is a 1.6L EcoBoost Ti-VCT four-pot good for 168hp and 180 lb-ft of torque…which doesn’t make much sense for me. But power goes to the front through a 6-speed auto.

The C-Max will also feature options that have already made a success in North America such as Microsoft’s SYNC system, as well as Ford’s new MyFord Touch driver connect system.
