Mercedes-Benz is on its way to replace the current-generation M-Class with a new model due later this year. The current Mercedes-Benz M-Class has been on the market for over six years now and is now in the process of winding down the second-generation model.
Contrary to recent reports, Mercedes-Benz said it will continue to sell all versions of the SUV through the 2011 model year, including the high-performance ML 63 AMG. That means recent rumors of Mercedes-Benz killing of the ML 63 AMG are false.
The Mercedes-Benz M-Class was the best-selling vehicle overall and ranked as the brand’s best-selling SUV in the United States in November 2010. The current model made its debut as a 2006 model at the 2005 Detroit Auto Show (meaning its way overdue for a redesign).
