Ford Focus Electric

Ford hasn’t kept any secrets from us about its big green push – in fact, it’s already confirmed that the Focus Electric will be one of five new electric vehicles the Dearborn automaker will deliver over the next three years in North America and Europe.

Ford today released a teaser of the Focus Electric (seen above) prior to the vehicle’s debut by CEO Alan Mulally at the 2011 International CES Show in Las Vegas (we expect it to be at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show as well). Mulally will unveil the vehicle at 11 AM PST on Friday.

Ford plans on building the Focus Electric at it’s Michigan Assembly Plant. Ford says when fully charged, the Focus Electric is expected to deliver up to 100 miles of gas-free driving – more than enough for most U.S. commuters, who average 40 miles per day.
