2011 Detroit Preview: Toyota releases third Prius MPV teaser, confirms new Prius Concept

Toyota Motor Sales confirmed today that it will hold the world premiere of the Prius family of vehicles at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show next month. Joining the current third-generation Prius, Toyota will debut a Prius Plug-in vehicle, a Prius Family MPV along with a new Prius concept vehicle.
The Toyota Prius MPV has been teased for quite sometime now with very little details released. The new photo, seen above, shows that the interior cargo are of the Prius Family will be increased by more than 50 percent over the traditional 21.6 cubic feet of the Prius that rides on the roads today. That puts the Toyota Prius’ utility somewhere around the Mazda5.
We’ll have more details from the show on Jan. 10 but for now you can check out this Prius Family Sneak Peak video featuring X Games champion skateboarder Bob Burnquist.
