Report: Chrysler says new Charger SRT8 and Grand Cherokee SRT8 models in the works

We’ve know for a while that Chrysler will eventually give us new SRT8 models, however, according to sources that spoke with Automobile, the next-generation of SRT8 models are currently in the works. The Dodge Charger SRT8 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 are both expected to debut at the end of 2011 as 2012 model year vehicles.

Rumors suggest that the Dodge Charger SRT8 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 will both carry a 6.4L HEMI V8 under the hood producing 470-hp and 470 lb-ft of torque.

Will we see another Chrysler 300 SRT8? Only time will tell. But we’re really begging you for on Mopar. Make it happen.
