Will Saab recover from its near-death experience this year? New owner Spyker Cars and its boss Victor Muller seems to think so. While many are skeptical, Muller is pretty enthusiastic about Saab’s future and says that the Swedish brand will soon have the strongest lineup in its 73-year history.
Muller says that by 2012, Saab will have the largest, new model lineup it’s ever had. One of the vehicles that has even Muller waiting impatiently is the successor to the teardrop-shaped Saab 92 sedan. He said that he also expects Saab to be profitable by 2012, when the company hopes to sell 120,000 units around the world. By the end of 2012, Saab will have a new 9-3 on sale along the 9-5 sedan and the 9-4X crossover that will go on sale in May 2011.
