After gas-electric hybrid, Mazda plans to introduce plug-in hybrids and EVs
Mazda CEO Takashi Yamanouchi said the company is considering introducing plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles once it releases a gasoline-electric hybrid model.
Mazda woud follow Nissan whose Leaf goes on sale this month, and Toyota and Honda, which will each be releasing EVs and plug-ins in 2012.
Mazda said a hybrid model is planned by 2013 that will use Toyota technology.
