2010 LA: Lotus Esprit, Elite, Elan, Elise, Eterne make North American debut

We’re still emptying out our digital SLRs from the 2010 LA Auto Show and have come across some more interesting things you might want to take a look at. First up? Lotus and its eleventy (5 to be exact) concept cars. The Elite GT, Esprit, Elan, Elise, Eterne all made their North American debut in LA last week.
Check out the high-res live shots after the jump and the list of refreshers.
Refresher:
- Lotus Esprit: Power for the Lotus Esprit comes from a 5.0L V8 engine making 620-hp allowing for 0-60 mph to come in less than 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph. The tech specs also include a KERS, Formula 1-style brake energy regeneration system as an option. The system will absorb and discharge electrical energy to provide an extra acceleration boost through an electric motor. Weight comes in at around 3,190 pounds.
- Lotus Elite: Power for the Lotus Elite comes from a front-mid positioned 5.0L V8 engine making 611-hp and a maximum torque of 531 lb-ft. Mated to a hybrid gearbox with optional integrated electric motors and KERS, the Elite is capable of going from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 to 3.7 seconds. Top speed comes in at 196 mph.
- Lotus Elan: Power for the Lotus Elan comes from a 4.0L V6 engine making 450-hp. Mated to a 7-speed transmission and weighing in at 2,489 pounds, the Elan runs from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds while hitting a top speed of 193 mph.
- Lotus Elise: Power for the 2015 Lotus Elise will come from a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine still sourced from Toyota – but it will be upgraded by Lotus to produce a total of 320-hp. Weighing in at 2,409 pounds, and mated to a 6-speed manual or a dual-clutch paddle-shifter automatic transmission, the 2015 Elise will go from 0-62 mph in 4.3 seconds. Top speed figures were not released.
- Lotus Eterne: The Lotus Eterne concept sedan is powered by the same 620-hp 5.0L V8 found in the new Lotus Elite concept. A hybrid system is optional and consists of electric-motors and a KERS, Formula 1 style energy regeneration system. Lotus says that the production Eterne will be offered in both all-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive configurations. 0-60 mph should come in just 4.0 seconds when mated to a full hybrid transmission.
