2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG will debut at 2010 LA Auto Show

Following the debut of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the German automaker will unveil the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG at the 2010 LA Auto Show.

Power for the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG will come from the same twin-turbo, direct-injected 5.5L V8 found in the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CL 63 AMG and the S 63 AMG. In the CLS 63 AMG, the engine will produce 518-hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. An optional Performance Package will increase output to 550-hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be mated to the award-winning 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission.
