2010 SEMA: 2011 Honda CR-Z Mugen limited to 300 units

There are a total of twelve modified 2011 Honda CR-Z sport hybrid coupes that are being shown today at the company’s booth at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. However, leading the pack is the 2011 CR-Z equipped with MUGEN accessories.

Honda said it will only produce 300 complete kits for the 2011 Honda CR-Z with sales to begin in spring of 2011. The kit includes: a full MUGEN body kit; a front grille; a rear wing spoiler; 17-inch “XJ” aluminum wheels; sport mats; a unique black aluminum shift knob and a billet aluminum oil-filler cap.

Each owner of the 300 limited kits will get to show off with a serial-number plaque designating each kit. All of the painted parts will come color-matched to each of the five available CR-Z colors. Pricing details will be made available closer to the launch date.

Refresher: The 2011 Honda CR-Z is powered by a 1.5L i-VTEC mated to Honda”s Integrated Motor Assist hybrid system. It produces a total of 122-hp and a maximum torque of 128 lb-ft. When mated to a 6-speed manual, the CR-Z returns an EPA-estimated 31/37/34 mpg (city/highway/combined). With the CVT transmission, the CR-Z returns 35/39/37 mpg. Prices in the United States start at $19,200.
