So remember the fleet of six new models that Lotus debut at the 2010 Paris Motor Show including the Elite GT, Esprit, Elan, Elise, Eterne and the City Car Concept? Well, it turns out that only one of them is really in development as of right now. According to insiders only the Lotus Esprit is said to have serious engineering work undertaken to it.

Sources say that the company is currently “fully” focused on the Esprit right now and that it will be the first of the six models that will be launched in 2013.

CEO Dany Bahar recently said investment for all six models has been confirmed, so don’t think Lotus is going to get lazy on its goal to compete with the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin.

Refresher: Power for the Lotus Esprit comes from a 5.0L V8 engine making 620-hp allowing for 0-60 mph to come in less than 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph. The tech specs also include a KERS, Formula 1-style brake energy regeneration system as an option. The system will absorb and discharge electrical energy to provide an extra acceleration boost through an electric motor. Weight comes in at around 3,190 pounds.
