Pastor who held off Quran burning to get free Hyundai Accent

2011 Hyundai Accent

If you haven’t heard of Terry Jones by now, you’re probably living under a rock. While Florida pastor Jones was debating the burning of the Quran, Brad Benson, a New Jersey Hyundai dealers, offered him a brand new 2011 Hyundai Accent if he didn’t carry out the act.

Benson was surprised when he finally received a call from a representative for Jones to collect the 2011 Hyundai Accent, retailing for $14,200.

“They said unless I was doing false advertising, they would like to arrange to pick up the car,” Benson recalled. Benson first thought it was a joke, so he asked Jones to send a copy of his driver’s license. When he did, Benson asked the pastor to pick up the car at the Brand Benson Mitsubishi/Hyundai dealership in South Brunswick. No date has been set for the pickup.

Jones said that he plans to donate the car to an organization that helps abused Muslim women. Guess he’s had a big change of heart.
