A couple of months ago, we heard Mini would be putting the Beachcomber Concept, which made its debut at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show, into production. However, latest reports suggest that there is a debate currently going on between two versions.
The two versions currently on the board consists of one that is close to the concept and is internally known as the Moke, while the other is a shorter, 3-door version known by the company as Canyon Coupe.
Both models are under consideration alongside a Countryman coupe and both are being based on a pillarless version of the new Countryman platform.
Seems like coupe SUVs are slowly becoming the new ‘thing.’
