Stefan Jacoby to be keynote speaker at 2010 LA Auto Show

Stefan Jacoby, President and Chief Executive of Volvo Cars

Last year at the 2009 LA Auto Show, Fritz Henderson was supposed to give the keynote speech. However, the day before the LA Auto Show opened its doors to the press, Henderson was forced to resign and Bob Lutz took his place as keynote speaker.

This year, the new president and chief executive officer of Volvo Car Corp (former Volkswagen CEO), Stefan Jacoby, will be giving the speech on the morning of Nov. 17, 2010.

“Right now Mr. Jacoby is in one of the most fascinating car industry positions, as a German CEO of an esteemed Swedish brand now owned by the Chinese,” said Charlie Vogelheim, MPG speaker committee chairman and executive editor of IntelliChoice. “He is expected to share his vision of the U.S. and Chinese auto markets, and viable alternative fuel solutions during his LA Auto Show keynote.”

We’ll be in LA live on Nov. 17 and Nov. 18 bringing you live coverage from the show floor. Stay tuned.
