Porsche puts Cajun baby SUV, baby Boxster on hold… for now

In the past couple of weeks, we heard a lot about the Porsche Cajun, a baby crossover SUV based on the Audi Q5. Also in the works for some time now is a baby Boxster entry-level roadster. According to Porsche’s new CEO Matthias Mueller, the company has put a hold on the development of both models.

In an interview with AutoCar, Meuller said that both models are currently under review.

“We have to clarify how we are to spread out our product programme “” below, above, left and right and so on “” and we will see,” Meuller said. “There are a lot of questions still to be answered and we want to create a business case [for them],” he said. “Then it will be possible.”

He said that decisions are to be made at the end of 2010 but the idea of smaller Porsche models is still alive, despite some skepticism.
