Mercedes-Benz has released the first of what’s likely to be many teaser pictures of the new 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK. The 2012 SLK will make its official debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so get read for months and months of teasing.
The new teaser shows a new folding hardtop, which Mercedes-Benz calls “Magic Sky Control.” The new roof gets innovative technology that allows the roof to be either transparent or darkened at the touch of a button.
“Whether in cold, rainy or just overcast weather, the transparent option gives passengers and drivers an open air experience while remaining shielded from the elements,” Mercedes-Benz said in a statement. “The dark state helps prevent the interior from being overheated and shields the occupants from intense sunlight.”
The new 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK will be a little bigger than the current model. Technical specifications will be launched closer to launch date.
