GM teases 2012 Buick Verano, launches mini site… but you can see the full Verano right here

Following its announcement of a new $145 million investment at Orion Assembly Center to built the 2012 Buick Verano, GM released a teaser and a mini site for the new compact sedan. However, the model will be the same exact vehicle as the Buick Excelle GT, which is currently sold in China.

In China, the 2011 Excelle GT is available with a choice of three powertrains including a 1.6L and 1.8L ECOTEC engines as well as a 1.6L turbocharged engine. The turbocharged engine makes 135-hp and can accelerate the car from from 0 to 62 mph in 9 seconds.

The Buick Excelle GT (as well as the Verano) is based on the same platform of the Chevrolet Cruze. GM has yet to confirm any production or timing details for the Verano.
