BMW Don't Blog About This Prototype Teasers

Many thought that BMW will take the covers off of its new ‘Don’t Blog About This’ prototype vehicle at the 2010 Paris Motor Show – however, we didn’t see anything. Why? Because the official launch of the car is held for Nov. 4, 2010. BMW has just dropped a couple of new teasers along with a new video.

BMW is now calling on customers to come test drive the new car. Those who wish to participate can register at www.facebook.com/BMW.

The model, which is now looking more and more like the Vision EfficientDynamics, is rumored to be called the i100 coupe. The Vision EfficientDynamics is powered by a 163-hp 1.5L 3-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and two electric-motors. That allows for a total of 356-hp and a peak torque of 590 lb-ft. 0-62 mph come in 4.8 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph. Fuel-economy is estimated at 63 mpg while in EV mode, the concept can provide 31 miles of zero-emissions driving.

We’ll have more details for you closer to the launch date.
