2012 Ford Focus to average 40 mpg on the highway
The 2012 Ford Focus, which will go on sale across the nation early next year, will get 40 mpg on the highway, according to FoMoCo. The improvement is an 18 percent increase over the current Focus model. If that works out after EPA certification, the Focus is on track to be the most fuel-efficeint compact vehicle in its class.

All 2012 Ford Focus models are powered by a 2.0L DI Ti-VCT engine making 155-hp and a peak torque of 145 lb-ft. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual or Ford”s latest dry-clutch 6-speed Ford PowerShift automatic transmission.
Prices for the 2012 Ford Focus Sedan start at $16,720, while the 2012 Focus 5-door hatch starts $18,065.
