Toyota working on TRD version of Scion tC?

The 2011 Scion tC is ready to hit dealerships in October with prices starting at $18,995; however, if you want a little more out of the tC, you may want to hang on until 2011. According to 7Tune, a TRD version of the Scion tC is in the works and is scheduled to debut in 2011.

Toyota’s Chief Engineer, Masayuki Nagai says that the TRD model of the Scion tC will get revised bodywork, suspension upgrades, exhaust enhancements and handling characteristics.

Refresher: The 2011 Scion tC is powered by an all-new 2.5L inline 4-cylinder engine with dual VVT-i that makes 180-hp, 19 more than the previous model. The 2011 tC is offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic with sequential-shift. Prices start at $18,995.
