Sunoco has tapped Fritz Henderson to lead its energy spinoff that it is forming early next year. The 52 year old former GM CEO will be joining the Pittsburgh-based company as a SVP and will help the company prepare for when SunCoke Energy splits from the company”s core business. After all is said and done, Henderson will be chairman and CEO of the company”s metallurgical coke manufacturing operations.
The company has operations in Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and produces Coke; a substance made by baking coal at extremely high temperatures to fuse together carbon and ash, and is a key ingredient in the manufacture of steel.
