Ford extends dealer cash program on all Mercury models through Sept.
As FoMoCo moves forward with winding down the Mercury brand, the company has extended the dealer cash program on all Mercury models through September as dealers try to get rid of their last remaining units.
The program, which gives new car shoppers $1,500 per vehicle, was scheduled to end August 31. Ford announced on June 2 that it will shutdown Mercury by Dec. 31 and said that it planed to sell all remaining units of the brand by the end of the year.
“We are continuing to provide strong sales tools to our dealers so they are able to remain competitive in the marketplace,” Ford spokesman Steve Kinkade said.
