Redline Series Hurst Camaro V6 gets 50% gain in rear-wheel horsepower

By now you’re probably sick and tired of all the V8 supercharged and turbocharged Camaro SS modifications from Hennessey and other tuners. Hurst is now offering a modification for the base V6 Camaro known as the Redline Series. The model was designed in collaboration with BFGoodrich Tires, which is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its Radial T/A lineup of tires.
Besides all the visual upgrades, the Redline Series Hurst Camaro throws on a remote-mounted turbocharger on the Hurst Modified exhaust. Hurst promises a “50 percent gain in rear-wheel horsepower and additional torque” – meaning you should get somewhere around 360-hp and a peak torque of 320 lb-ft. The stock 2011 Chevrolet Camaro is powered by a 3.6L V6 engine making 312-hp and 278 lb-ft of torque.
Hurst says that its Redline Series Hurst Camaro provides “30 percent better fuel economy than the stock Camaro SS with its 6.2 liter V8.”
Only 50 units will be made a year with prices ranging from low to mid $50,000.
