Petition to bring Audi TT RS to the United States

Two new high-performance Audi models that were never earmarked for the stateside were that Audi RS5 and the Audi TT RS. That all changed with the recent announcement of the 2011 RS5 making its way to U.S. shores by 2012 – and Audi is now seriously considering bringing the TT RS as well.

The German automaker has launched a petition on Facebook asking enthusiasts and fans to sign it and convince the European executives to bring the high-performance compact to the United States.

Currently, the petition has 583 signatures. If you really want the Audi TT RS, here is your chance to make your voice heard.

Refresher: The 2010 Audi TT RS is powered by a turbocharged 2.5L engine with direct gasoline injection making a total of 340-hp with a maximum torque of 332 lb-ft. Mated to a 6-speed manual and the the quattro all-wheel-drive system, the TT RS goes from 0-62 mph in 4.6 seconds with a top speed of 174 mph.
