Infiniti trademarks JX20, JX25, JX25h, and JX30, – no idea for what
Nissan has filed trademarks for vehicles that will carry the badges JX20, JX25, JX25h, and JX30, according to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
While we have no idea what the J or the numbers after that stand for, Infiniti says that it is standard practice for it cover the bases with nomenclature since so many automakers use the alphanumeric naming style. In the past several years, Nissan has trademarked WX35, PX35, and DX35 – but never used them.
Our only estimate so far is that the ’20’ and ’25’ stands for 4-cylinder engine variants while the JX25h stands for a hybrid model. We’ll try to keep an eye on any news from Infiniti. Stay tuned.
