The product development guys over at Alfa Romeo are planned to launch a pair of crossovers that will compete with the likes of the Audi Q5 and the upcoming Audi Q3. It is reported that the Audi Q3 rival will most likely be based on the platform of the new Giulietta. The underpinnings of the larger crossover have yet to be decided but rumor has it that Alfa may team up with Jeep for that option.
Alfa Romeo CEO Harald Wester has been talking about how he wants the brand’s global sales to increase from 100,000 to 500,000 annually. Adding two SUVs are said to be an important part of that goal.
