GM to launch 14 new, refreshed models worldwide by 2014

Consumers can expect a significant number of new and refreshed models from GM in the next four years. Many of those models however, will most likely be launched outside of the United States. GM spoke about the vehicles mainly in the context of boosting the company’s bottom line, hence the emphasis of new models in the European and foreign markets, which is where GM expects the most growth over the next few years.
Between now and 2014, Europe can expect to 14 new Opel/Vauxhall launches, and Chevy will run 13 launches during the same time. Less emphasized going forward however, will be the strange-brew vehicles with dedicated platforms, as GM moves toward a system of more global platform architecture.
In the short-term pipeline, Chevy has the Cruze, Volt, Cadillac XTS, Impala, Buick Regal, and Cadillac CTS Coupe.
