The Ford Mustang is catching up to the Chevrolet Camaro in terms of sales. FoMoCo’s pony car overtook Chevy’s Camaro in June bring in a total of 8,974 units sold, an 18 percent increase from June 2009. General Motors sold 7,540 Camaro units last month, a 19 percent decline from a year ago.
In May 2010, Ford sold 10,225 sold versus 8,931 Camaros.
However, the Chevrolet Camaro still remain ahead of the Mustang in the first six months of the year. So far during the first 6 months of 2010, GM sold 46,378 Camaros while FoMoCo sold 40,035 Mustangs.
