Latest U.S. Patent and Trademark Office filings show that General Motors may be working on a next-generation Chevrolet Colorado. Whatever the case may be you probably shouldn’t get too excited because the next Colorado is destined for sales in markets outside North America.
GM has yet to officially announce whether or not the U.S. Colorado and Canyon production will end but Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal said that GM’s decision to end production at the Shreveport plant will be made by 2012.
Nonetheless, sources say that a new compact pickup is planned for production at the old Saturn plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
