Stating the obvious: Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster will lose gullwing doors

It seems like AMG engineers have their hands full. While testing the SLS AMG E-Cell Prototype, the department is also working on the drop top version of the supercar, which will go on sale in early 2011 after it makes its official debut at the end of this year.
While most of the SLS AMG Roadster will be the same as its coupe sibling, the drop top version will have to obviously drop the gullwing doors. From the looks of it, the SLS AMG Roadster will not be a hard-top convertible.
Performance of the SLS AMG Roadster is expected to be similar to that of the coupe.
