Depending on who you talk to, the 2011 Ford Fiesta is either right on schedule or a few weeks late. FoMoCo says that the car was promised for a “summer” launch and is shipping the cars this week from its assembly plant in Mexico.
However, some customers and dealers are saying that the Fiesta was supposed to arrive a couple weeks ago. Many customers waiting on their pre-ordered Fiesta are showing their frustration on the Fiesta Facebook fan page. Ford says their accusations are inaccurate.
“We’ve been very transparent with our customers who’ve made pre-orders,” Ford spokeswoman Angie Kozleski said. “We have a reservations call center and a reservations hotline. In the case of this vehicle, there’s been a lot of communication with them.”
Refresher: The 2011 Ford Fiesta is powered by a 1.6L DOHC 4-cylinder engine making 120-hp with a peak torque of 109 lb-ft. Pricing for the 2011 Ford Fiesta starts at $13,320.
