U.S. District Judge Selna may set the framework for the lawsuits facing Toyota related to the company’s sudden acceleration recalls. Selna will hold a hearing today to decide who the lead plaintiffs’ attorneys will be, as well as what information Toyota must turn over for the hearings.

The hearing will be the first since a judicial panel consolidated the federal cases last month and chose Selna to preside over them.

Toyota has more than 320 lawsuits filed against it in federal and state court. Some suits claim economic loss after Toyota’s recall of more than 2.3 million vehicles in the U.S., while other allege injury and death due to the sudden acceleration issue.
