Besides Nissan Leaf based electric-vehicle, Infiniti planning 3 new models

We already know that Infiniti has plans to launch an electric-vehicle hatchback based on the Nissan LEAF by 2014. According to AutoCar, Infiniti is also planning an entry-level SUV and an Audi A3 rival.
The new Audi A3 rival will eventually become Infiniti’s volume seller in Europe and will be based on the front-wheel-drive Mercedes-Benz A-Class platform as a part of the recent partnership between Nissan/Renault and Daimler AG.
That same platform will also spawn a small SUV, according to sources familiar with the plan.
Engine options will come from Mercedes-Benz’s lineup of 4-cylinder engines. Infiniti is also planning a 4-cylinder diesel option for the G sedan and coupe and the EX crossover.
Nissan sources also said that officials are considering a city Infiniti car that will be based on the Smart and subcompact Renault.
