Think to sell all-electric City car in New York City

Norwegian based electric-car company Think announced today that it plans on bringing its Think City electric-car to customers in New York City. New York ranked third in THINK’s EV-Ready Cities Index based on the great fit EV’s have for city driving and the strength of the state and local governments’ support. Los Angeles came in at No. 1.

“Bringing the THINK City to New York will play a positive role in PlaNYC, the city’s comprehensive sustainability plan that seeks to reduce the City’s greenhouse gas emissions by 30 percent from 2005 level by 2030,” Think said in a statement. “The Think City, all electric vehicle provides excellent opportunities for both city fleets and private vehicles operating within the City’s borders.”

Separately, Think announced a significant investment in a brand new, state-of-the-art product development facility at its corporate headquarters in Fornebu, Oslo, Norway.

The Think City electric will have a top speed of more than 70 miles per hour and a range of more than 100 miles per full charge.
