Retired Chrysler exec returns to advise Sergio Marchionne

Not that this will make any difference to your morning or your life but Chrysler Group announced yesterday that Robert G. Liberatore has returned to the company as Advisor to the CEO, Sergio Marchionne.

“Liberatore will provide advice to the Company on external affairs issues,” Chrysler said in a statement.

Liberatore originally joined Chrysler Corp. in 1985 after working on Capitol Hill for 10 years, including four years as staff director for Senator Robert C. Byrd. He was elected an Officer of the Chrysler Corporation in 1993 when he held the position of Vice President – Washington Affairs. He retired as Group Vice President – Global External Affairs and Public Policy, DaimlerChrysler Corporation in 2007.
