Mercedes-Benz to show new concept in Detroit, will hint at new design language

Mercedes-Benz is apparently getting ready to show off how its future vehicles will look with a concept that hints at its upcoming design direction. The concept is scheduled to make its debut at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show next month.

“We want to elevate our design towards art and if any company can do it Mercedes can,” design boss Gordon Wagener told AutoCar.

While Wagener wouldn’t give out any details about the concept, he said that it was a “pure design concept which is long and exaggerated” and not to expect any production models based on the study. However, rumors say that the concept will show strong hints to the next CLS, which will debut at the end of 2010.
