General Motors confirmed yesterday that it has received “expressions of interest in Saab” from other parties – however, it refused to release any names. Well, Spyker confirmed this morning that it is one of the interested parties.
“In response to market enquiries, Spyker Cars confirms that it, together with its shareholder Convers Group, has expressed an interest in Saab Automobile AB,” Spyker Cars said in a short statement. “If and when we are able to comment further, we will do so but we are unable to provide more information at this time.”
GM said yesterday that it will be evaluating potential bids between now to the end of Dec. If it does not find a “suitable arrangement” it will wind down Saab immediately.
