2011 Ford Mustang powertrain details to be released at the LA Auto Show in Dec.
The 2009 LA Auto Show press days will kick off on Dec. 2nd and Ford has a lot planned with debuting the US-spec Fiesta. According to FoxNews.com, the automaker will also provide details on the powertrain upgrades for the 2011 Ford Mustang.
So far it’s been rumored that the base 2011 Ford Mustang will carry a 3.7L V6 making 315-hp, while the 2011 Mustang GT will get a 5.0L naturally-aspirated V8 making 400-hp. There are no plans to add Ford’s new EcoBoost technology to the Mustang lineup.
Last month it was reported that the 2011 Ford Mustang GT500 will carry a twin-turbo charged version of the upcoming 5.0L V8 Coyote ““ code-named “Road Runner.” The engine is expected to produce well over 500-hp.
