Study: Driving a convertible could be hazardous to your hearing

Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe

So you love to drive with the top down while the wind blows through your hair? Well, according to American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Foundation of San Diego, you may be putting your hearing at risk.

A British surgeon ran a test of seven convertibles for noise levels at more than 50 mph and found that prolonged driving in a drop-top can be dangerous to your hearing and can cause damage over time from noise produced by trucks, wind and traffic.

Apparently, the British surgeon is a convertible owner himself.
