Earlier this year, Subaru unveiled the Impreza WRX STI A-Line for the Japanese market. The model offered those who don’t like driving a manual a 5-speed automatic transmission with SPORTSHIFT. Power for the WRX STI A-Line still comes from the 300-hp 2.5L BOXER turbo engine.

We’re not sure why but Subaru decided to create a concept out of the Impreza WRX STI A-line for the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. Known a the Subaru Impreza WRX Carbon Concept, the study features carbon fiber on the roof to reduce weight and low center of gravity.

The inside of the Subaru Impreza WRX Carbon Concept features suede fabric and other upgrades.
