Video: 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS hits up the Autobahn before Frankfurt debut
Apparently, before the 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS made its arrival to the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, it hit up the Autobahn for one final drive the night before. Manager of High Performance Cars for Porsche, Andreas Preuninger, gave our friend JF the opportunity ride shotgun as he took the first produced 2010 Porsche GT3 RS out for a ride. Due to traffic, Preuninger was only able to get the car up to 181 mph on the unrestricted A5 Autobahn.
The video ends with Preuninger telling us about the development process involved with producing the GT3 RS. Right now we wish we had either Preuninger or JF’s job.
Refresher: Power comes from a 3.8L unit that delivers more output, revving up to 8,500 rpm while producing a neck-snapping 450-hp. Sales in the U.S. begin in early spring of 2010 with prices starting at $132,800.
