German tuner 9ff, creators of the 9ff GT9 and the 9ff GT9-R, are reportedly taking orders on a convertible version of latter. Power will come from the same 4.0L flat-6 used in the 9ff GT9-R that has two massive turbos to produce 1,120-hp with a peak torque of 774 lb-ft.
The coupe sibling is known as that ‘the world’s fastest street-legal car’ going from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 257 mph.
Pricing for the original 973-hp GT9 started at $786,441 with only 20 units planned for production. So if a convertible GT9-R is believed to be in the works, expect it to be very expensive and very exclusive.
