2009 Shanghai: Brilliance EV Concept almost looks like the Volkswagen Up!

Brilliance, BMW’s Chinese partner showed off its EV concept car at the 2009 Shanghai Motor Show hinting at a future electric-vehicle for China.

The Brilliance EV is equipped with two-electric motors that are powered by a set of lithium-ion batteries. The first electric motor provides the Brilliance EV with 30-hp and the ability to travel 80 miles with a top speed of 25 mph. The second motor allows for a top speed of 80 mph.

Design seems to be heavily influenced by Volkswagen’s UP! Concept.
