Of course all that premium standard equipment will come at a higher-cost to you with prices starting at $42,775 for the 9-5 Sedan and $44,045 for the 9-5 SportCombi.

So what are you paying extra for? You also get a set of 5-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels plus Griffin badges on the front fenders to let people know your 9-5 is better than theirs. The Saab 9-5 Griffin will be available with six metallic colors including Jet Black, Snow Silver, Nocturne Blue, Pepper Green, plus the new Carbon Grey and Glass Grey.

Inside the 9-5 Griffin you are welcomed by a high-gloss interior trim, floor mats with grey piping, accent color stitching on the steering wheel, shift lever and handbrake as well as on the leather sport seats. Additional standard equipment includes a rear parking assist system, heated outside mirrors that are power-adjustable, foldable and feature auto-dimming.

Saab only released one image of the 9-5 Griffin but we’ll bring you more from the 2009 Detroit Auto Show next month.
