Honda cuts North American production by 119,000

Following job cuts in Great Britain and Japan and pulling out of the Formula One business, Honda announced today that it will cut back on production in North American and will lower its target for the fiscal year.

Honda announced that it will reduce production in North America by another 119,000 vehicles over the previously announced cuts of 56,000 vehicles. It said that it now expects its full-year output in North America to fall to 1.29 million cars and light trucks. The original target was 1.47 million.

Well at least it holds the title of the brand that does the best job of retaining its U.S. customers.
