After showing us the interior of the S60 Concept last month, Volvo today released the first official exterior teaser. Volvo says that the picture will reveal “the coupe-inspired silhouette that gave the original S60 its unique stance.”
The concept is the bases for the next-generation S60 which will get a sleek coupe-like roof line along with new shoulder contours, a double wave from the headlamps at the front to the tail lamps at the rear.
“This concept car takes our design DNA to the next level,” said Volvo design director Steve Mattin. We’re talking about a ‘Dramatic New Approach’, meaning that we gradually turn up our cars’ visual volume. The concept car’s exterior gives a clear indication of what customers can expect of the all-new S60.”
The Volvo S60 Concept will make its debut at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show – the production car will arrive in markets in 2010.
